Governor Sanwo-Olu signs Anti Grazing Bill into Law

The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has signed the anti-grazing bill (A bill Prohibiting Open Cattle Grazing) into law in Lagos state.

Recall that On Thursday, September 9, 2021, Lagos State House of Assembly passed the bill themed; “A bill for a law to Prohibit Open Cattle Grazing In Lagos State, the Trespass of Cattle Land And For Other Connected Purposes”.

Monday, September 20, Sanwo-Olu agreed to the bill in Lagos House. According to Wale Ajetunmobi, the Governor’s print media aide, the development has occurred.

Ajetunmobi wrote; “Breaking! Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, this afternoon, signs the bill prohibiting open cattle grazing in Lagos into law.”

After Rivers, Ondo, Enugu, and Akwa Ibom, Lagos is the fourth southern state to sign the anti-open grazing bill into law.

In other news, Governor Sanwo-Olu ordered the arrest of three traffic robbers that specializes in harassing motorists and road users in traffic.

The suspected criminals met their waterloo while attempting to unleash terror on a motorist around Ojota in-bound Alausa.

Help, however, came for the motorist as the governor’s convoy approached the scene to rescue him from the three machete-wielding criminals who were at the time trying to forcefully drag him out of the vehicle.

According to a statement, the security personnel attached to the governor swooped on the suspects, retrieved the dangerous weapons from them, and arrested the three of them.
