Nigerian TV Host, Morayo Brown has slammed the pastor who alleged that he was sacked by Bishop Oyedepo of Winners Church for revealing the entire controversy to the media.

The Pastor whose name is Peter Godwin identified himself as a former pastor of the Living Faith Church International, popularly known as Winners Chapel. He however claimed he was sacked alongside 40 other pastors by the church alongside 40 other pastors for not generating enough money in their branch.

The TV host who claimed that she had restrained herself from commenting on social and trending issues said that the sacked pastor should have channeled all his complaints to God but not the media.

Her words: God is the real MD of any Bible-believing church. If you get “sacked”, take your grievances to HIM, not the media. Only can compensate not the rabble-rousers on social media.

Her post however didn’t sit well with Nigerians on social media, as many took to the comment section to register their displeasure regarding the take of the host.

Why is it okay to bring governance and other issues to the social media but not okay to bring matters involving “men of God” to the social media? Is God no longer omnipresent? This type of hypocrisy does more damage than good to the body of Christ!

Get his phone number and talk to him then you would have gotten the whole scenario and not be a judge too. Let God be the ultimate judge.

These are two basic earning points for inhabitants over there. Should our actions as a church lead people away or keep people in? How do you even sack a pastor if it’s not an immoral act but income generation? Is church now business?
