Gloria Reuben was born on the 9th of June 1964 in Toronto, Ontario. Her father, Cyril George Reuben was mostly Jewish and had some African ancestry; he was an engineer and he had died when Gloria Reuben was still little. Gloria Reuben’s mother, Pearl Avis was a classical singer and is mostly of African descent. Gloria Reuben was one of her parent’s six children; she had an older half-brother, Denis Simpson who was an actor and children’s TV host until he died in 2010.
