Henley was on drums while Frey played guitar and keyboards. In a short time, they became the world’s best-selling groups of all time. Eagles put on many hits including Take It Easy, Feeling Peaceful and Tranquil, Tequila Sunrise, She’s Gone, and New Kid In Town. The group broke up in 1980 but got back together in 1994 releasing a new album. Hell Freeze Finished. The album in total had four songs, live tracks and they even went on a music tour where they performed all the songs on the album. The Eagles realized they made it big when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, meaning they were recognized as legends and members of great musical history. Frey had been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis since the year 2000, which affected most of his body and eventually he also suffered from colitis and pneumonia. In 2015, he underwent surgery for his intestinal problems. Following surgery, Frey was placed in a medically induced coma to protect his brain and was admitted to Columbia University Medical Center. He was announced dead on January 18, 2016, caused by complications of rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia while being treated for surgery on his gastrointestinal tract. Frey’s wife, Cindy, accused the hospital of her husband’s death and even brought a case against Mount Sinai Hospital and the gastrointestinal surgeon. Steven Itzkowitz .
