Eric Whitney is professionally known as Ghostemane or alternatively as Baader-Meinhof, GASM, and formerly Ill Biz is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who started playing in local hardcore punk and doom metal bands. He moved to Los Angeles, California after beginning his career as a rapper.

His fusion of rap and metal has earned him fame on SoundCloud, among other underground artists such as Scarlxrd, Bones and Suicideboys. In 2018, he released his seventh studio album, N/O/I/S/E, which was exceptionally anticipated in the underground SoundCloud trap metal and emo rap scene due to its substantial impact on industrial and nu-metal bands.
