Gene Dynarski
He participated in titles such as “Encounters in the third phase”. Gene Dynarsky died at the age of 86 on February 27, 2020, at a rehab center in Studio City, Los Angeles, playwright Ernest Kearney, a friend of his, later reported.
Born on September 13, 1932, Gene Dynarski began his journey in 1963, with a job on the Central Hospital series. In cinema, he played supporting roles in titles like All the President’s Men or Airport 75 .
After working under Steven Spielberg in The Devil on Wheels , in which he played the trucker whom the protagonist mistakes for his stalker in a race bar, King Midas turned to him again in Encounters of the Third Kind , where He was the boss of Richard Dreyfuss , who sent him to investigate the mysterious blackouts. But apparently during the filming he made the director very angry, to the point that he decided to suppress his sequence in the film’s editing. He later bounced back in a new cut for the film’s 30th anniversary edition.
Perhaps if it weren’t for this episode, his career would have gone further. More information about his private life is unknown.
