Personal trainer
Gegard Mousasi has put a grueling and intense training regime in place to keep himself in fighting shape. In order to improve his stamina and endurance, he prefers to train several body parts in a circuit training session. Training includes bodyweight exercises like squats, complex movements like deadlifts and snaps and cleans, and some cardio exercises.
When training for a fight, he completely cuts sugar from his diet and abstains from drinking sugary beverages at all. He is also reducing carbohydrates from his dietary intake and focusing more on proteins and eating lots of fruits and vegetables.
However, he’s not a big fan of strict diets that other MMA fighters often rely on. He feels it is difficult to eat small and perfect meals every 2 hours. He just focuses on eating right and making sure he has enough fuel to keep going.
