His father was a comedian while his mother was a singer with the Ted Fio Rito Orchestra. He was raised along with five brothers, Joseph Christopher Lewis , Anthony Joseph Lewis , Ronald Lewis , Scott Anthony Lewis , and Christopher Joseph Lewis .
