1. Garry Sandhu went to the UK in 2002. At first he tried to apply for asylum under a different identity, but when the application was rejected, he fled. He was eventually arrested in October 2011 and eventually deported to India.
2. In January 2008, he received a conviction for obstructing a police officer. Before he was arrested, however, he fled.
3. He has started his own record label, Fresh Media Records . Garry has released most of his music under his own label. The record label’s name was inspired by the slang word “Freshie” used for Indian immigrants in Britain (particularly England).
4. He has launched his own range of clothing under the title Fresh Collection. Garry has opened clothing stores in various Punjabi cities.
