Ganduje promises free and fair elections, as Tinubu supporters stomp the streets

Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the governor of Kano State, promised the residents of Kano State on Sunday that the general election of 2023 would be free and fair.

The governor made this statement while speaking to the fanatics of the All Progressive Congress (APC), who arranged a million-man match in favor of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Ganduje claims that the APC and other parties in the state support free and fair elections and campaigns. The governor, who is obviously pleased with the turnout, told Channels Television that the march had crossed one million people and is on its way to five million.

“Looking at my face you will know I am happy, my Deputy who is the gubernatorial candidate is comfortable, even the people of Kano are so glad.

“If you see the mammoth crowd for over one hour now we have been standing here, we have been taking the salute, we have been directing them to the main venue of the event for over one hour now, they are still passing, it’s more than one million march, we are heading to five million march,” Ganduje said.

Young people, women, and people with disabilities came together in the state capital to support the APC presidential candidate. They came from the 44 local government areas of the state.

The million-man match kicked off from the Emir’s palace, and the governor of Kano State was greeted by a large crowd at the Government House Roundabout. From there, the game continued until it came to a close at the Nasarawa Local Government racetrack.

Moreso, Seyi Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu’s son, led a rally in Kano State on Sunday to support his father in the upcoming 2023 presidential election.

The rally is intended to encourage Tinubu supporters to obtain their Permanent Voters Card, or PVC, according to Baffa Babba Danagundi, the director of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign support organization, who spoke at the occasion.

According to information obtained by DAILY POST, the protest, known as the “one million man PVC march,” temporarily stopped all economic activity in Kano.

The Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, who was also at the rally, said the rally was to show that Tinubu would have the highest votes in the state in February 2023.

According to him: “We planned this one million PVC show walk to demonstrate that the state is for Tinubu.”
