GABINO DIEGO: HIS AGE, HIS PARTNER AND BIOGRAPHY OF THE ACTOR
HOW OLD IS GABINO DIEGO?
He was born on September 18, 1966 in Madrid and is the son of Cuban parents who decided to leave the island after the Cuban revolution expropriated their businesses there.
Although he was a poor student, so much so that he had to change schools several times, the world of cinema came into his life almost by chance. At the age of 17, he went to the casting for the film ‘Bicycles are for summer’ without any kind of aspiration and without training.
The good work he did in it caused him to have great criticism, for which Gabino Diego reconsidered his life and began to train in the world of acting. At that time, he decided to turn to experts such as Cristina Rota, Dina Roth, Agustín Alezzo, John Strasberg or Dominic de Fazzio to give courses of all kinds and expand natural talent.
From that moment on, he would become one of the fashionable actors in Spain thanks to titles such as The Journey to Nowhere, The Stunned King or ¡Ay, Carmela!, thanks to the last one for which he won a Goya.
These were not the only successes in the cinema of the actor, since in the 90s he participated in ‘The worst years of our lives’, ‘Love seriously harms health’ and ‘The hour of the brave’. Mention apart from him deserves ‘Belle Epoque’, with which he savored the success of winning an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
His heyday of greatest splendor on the big screen was coming to an end and his last blockbuster was Torrente 2, directed by Santiago Segura. At present he is focused on the theater, where he has starred in works such as ‘ El apagón’ , ‘ Nuestras mujeres’ , ‘ El intercambio’ or ‘ Los mojigatos’ .
The actor is currently on tour with the play La curva de la felicidad, in which he shares the scene with Antonio Vico, Josu Ormaexte and Jesús Cisneros.
HIS PARTNER AND HIS ACTRESS DAUGHTER
Gabino Diego is very jealous of his privacy, so much so that right now nothing is known about his possible partner. In the past, he did make public his relationship with the Catalan actress Rosa Boladeras , six years younger than him. He had a daughter with her, named Sara, and who has decided to follow in the footsteps of her parents and has already taken her first steps in some TV3 series.
GUEST OF ‘PASAPALABRA’
From November 15 to 18, the actor attends ‘Pasapalabra’ as a VIP guest along with other celebrities such as Natalia Sánchez , Álex O’Dogherty and Cristina Medina. The four will help Rafa Castaño and Orestes Barbero with the questions that Roberto Leal asks them .
