Fred VanVleet is an American professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the NBA. He was signed by the Raptors after going undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft. FRED VANVLEET INJURY

The Toronto Raptors point guard left Sunday’s scrimmage against the Portland Trail Blazers with a knocked left knee and did not return. The injury apparently happened when VanVleet tried to take a charge in the first quarter and headed straight for the locker room. After the game, which the Raptors won 110-104, head coach Nick Nurse told reporters the injury didn’t seem too serious, but there was no point trying to play it in a scrimmage.

Meanwhile, the Raptors guard did not take part in Sunday’s contest. Nick Nurse told reporters that McCaw faced a recurring problem. After their win over Portland, Toronto will be back in action Tuesday night against the Phoenix Suns for their third and final scrimmage. They will begin the regular season on August 1 against the Los Angeles Lakers.
