1. Despite being regarded as one of the most exciting defensive midfielders and box-to-box midfielders, he entered the scene as a promising attacking midfielder for Brazilian club Internacional.
2. During the 2014 Ukraine crisis, he was one of six Shakhtar Donetsk players who refused to play at home due to fears for their personal safety.
