- Lena Horne – Frank Sinatra reportedly started dating African American singer and actress Lena Horne in the ’50s. According to a popular anecdote, he took her on a date at the glitzy Stork Club in New York City. Since the club would not allow black people into their facility, the manager informed him that he could not accommodate them as they were fully booked. When he asked Sinatra who made their reservation, Sinatra replied, “(President Abraham) Lincoln.”

- Marlene Dietrich (1944) – Frank Sinatra is said to have hooked up with German actress and singer Marlene Dietrich in 1944. According to one of her journal entries, she knew Sinatra as early as 1942, and some sources claim they started dating around that time. Much has also been written about the fact that she was 14 years his senior.
- Lana Turner (1946-1947) – Sinatra met actress Lana Turner in 1940 in Hollywood. They began dating in 1946 and regularly made out in the car in the MGM studios parking lot. Towards the end of the year, their affair was splashed on the front pages of newspapers after it was revealed that he had left his wife after being on fire with her. Nancy was upset after he danced the night away with Turner at a Hollywood party. However, after being pressured by the studios, he returned with his wife after a few weeks. But he continued to see Turner to the side.
- Joan Crawford (1947) – Immediately after his affair with Lana Turner ended, Sinatra reportedly met with actress Joan Crawford.
- Judy Garland – Sinatra has been linked to singer Judy Garland on a couple of occasions. They were first connected in 1949. While recovering from a nervous breakdown, Sinatra had decided to take her to the Hamptons for a romantic trip. Then, in 1955, it was claimed they had met again. Garland was dealing with one of many breakups with her husband, Sid Luft, while Sinatra had just endured a messy breakup with Ava Gardner. Luft eventually found out about the affair and Garland got back to him.
- Ava Gardner (1949-1957) – Sinatra’s tumultuous relationship with actress Ava Gardner is well documented. He had met Gardner in 1945 and began dating her in 1949. Their affair is considered to be the last bunch that broke the marriage between Sinatra and Nancy. He married Gardner in November 1951, just 10 days after their final divorce from Nancy. Sinatra was harshly criticized by the tabloids, the Hollywood establishment and the Catholic Church for leaving his wife. However, Gardner was credited with getting him back on track by helping him land a role in From Here To Forever,that helped him win an Oscar and revitalize his professional career. But by the time his professional career took off, his marriage to Gardner was on its last legs. They separated in October 1953. Their divorce was finalized in 1957. Gardner later named Sinatra the love of her life, and it has been claimed he never got over her.

While there are some sources that indicate they became engaged, their engagement was broken in 1962. One thing is for sure, Sinatra has found inner peace with Prowse over the course of their relationship.
- Marilyn Monroe (1954-1955) – Sinatra formed a close friendship with Marilyn Monroe. He had supported her in her divorce from Joe DiMaggio. - It has been widely reported that Johnny Fontana’s character in the iconic crime drama film, The Godfather, was inspired by Sinatra.
- Although I’ve been a vocal critic of The Godfather film franchise for a character based on him, he briefly entertained an offer to play Don Altobello in The Godfather: Part III due to the success of the first two films in the franchise.
- He was the unofficial leader of the infamous Rat Pack , which included Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop. They were all cast in Ocean 11 and Sergeants 3 .
- In her bio, Mia Farrow revealed that Sinatra told her that he could have a film director break Woody Allen’s legs if she wished. She had found out that Allen was having an affair with Farrow’s adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn.
- He broke a few bones in his little finger while shooting for the camera for a fight scene in The Manchurian Candidate. In the scene, he had his hand stuck through the wooden table while trying to hit karate.
