He worked albeit briefly on several of the most successful titles of the 1980s. Actor Frank Pesce passed away on February 6, 2022, at the age of 75, in Burbank, California.

Born on November 8, 1946, New Yorker Frank Pesce made his debut as an extra on Rocky , where he appeared as a spectator at one of the matches. The last work of his released before his death was in the same saga, as a guy who hung out at the gym in Creed, the legend of Rocky.

Throughout the ’80s, Frank Pesce was a bar regular on Flashdance , a bartender on Top Gun. Air Idols , and cigarette buyer in Hollywood Detective , and also appeared in its sequel. His life freely inspired the film 29th Street , George Gallo ‘s directorial debut , where he worked as a screenwriter and appeared playing his brother. Interestingly, he was played by Anthony LaPaglia . The film tells that he felt like the luckiest person in the world, and won six million dollars in the lottery. 

Little is known about his private life, except that he was a very affable guy, with great knowledge of music, who had friendly relations with stars and personalities in the film industry. “I met Frank at a very bad time in my life. He always said that he saved me and he was right. I had never met anyone like him. Frank had more strength than any other living person or fictional character,” says Tammy Scher, his wife . 

In the last years of his career, Frank Pesce was involved in titles such as Un hecho de altura or The Expendables 3 .
