Francisco Maestre

Paco Maestre played numerous supporting roles on stage, on television and in the cinema. While preparing an episode of Loving in Troubled Times , he suffered a heart attack. He was transferred to the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid, where they certified his death. He was 53 years old.

Born in Mérida, on July 2, 1957, Francisco Maestre Soriano soon moved with his parents to Madrid. After getting rid of the military, due to his tendency to obesity, he enrolled in the Royal School of Dramatic Art. When he finished, he became a regular presence in the theater, as he worked with great directors such as José Carlos Plaza or Miguel Narros . For his work in “Pelo de tormenta” by Francisco Nieva, he won the Max Award for acting.

He also did a lot of television, as he appeared in series like Ana y los seven or El comisario , in important roles.

In the cinema, he normally played roles of little relevance, such as in Acción mutanta , Álex de la Iglesia’s debut , where he was an inhabitant of the planet Asturiax, who spent his time watching TV. He repeated with De la Iglesia, in The Day of the Bestia , and also intervened in titles such as Barrio , El espinazo del diablo , La mala educación and La heredad Valdemar .

In the aforementioned Amar en tiempos revueltos he played Celso, a role for which he had lost weight considerably.
