A former Nigerian beauty queen, Najeebat Sule has been shot dead in the United States of America. The doctorate student in Philadelphia was murdered while sitting in her car in front of her home.
“I can’t think of anything that would make anyone want to kill her”, Habibat Magaji, her friend told reporters.
The shooter, an unknown man, walked up to the vehicle and shot her several times. However, the police have not found a motive and have made no arrests.

Painfully, the life of the beauty queen was cut short just steps away from the family’s residence in the 8800 blocks of Frankford Avenu.
Moreso, the father, Adewale Sule, recalled that he heard the gunfire and ran out from the house towards the scene.
“I saw the guy shooting my daughter. He shot the last round and I pursued him. He ran back to his car.”
The bereaved mother, Tawakalitu Sule, said she spoke with Najeebat less than two hours before the incident.
The bereaved women disclosed her daughter’s siblings – two girls – cry every day because of their big sister whom they really miss.
To be safe, the family now leave in an undisclosed location in having relocated from Nigeria to Philadephia in the early 2000s.
