Former JAMB Registrar arrested for over 900million JAMB fraud

Operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has arrested the former Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Dibu Ojerinde.

It was reported that the former Jamb CEO was arrested in Abuja, on Monday, March 15, 2021, and has been detained at the headquarter of the commission in Abuja.

He was arrested for committing several fraud crimes in the likes of Misappropriating 900 million JAMB fund during his time as the head of the JAMB and NECO.

Ojerinde was interrogated for allegations of multiple identities, abuse of office, money laundering, tax evasion, and making false statements to public officials.

The former Boss of Jamb is also being questioned by the ICPC over the contracts he awarded to the shell company which can not be traced.

Meanwhile,President Muhammudu Buhari has named a road in the Federal Capital Territory after the president of the Niger republic, in honour of his contribution to promoting peace in Africa.
