Willian Jonathan Drayton Jr. is better known by his stage name Flavor Flav and is a television personality, rapper, musician, and comedian who has been known for being a part of the hip-hop group Public Enemy. He was born on March 16, 1959 and has been enrolled in the acting fraternity since 1982. He has also appeared on various reality shows on VH1.
Born in Roosevelt, New York, Flav was a musical prodigy growing up. He had a troubled childhood going in and out of prison from the age of 16-17. Details of his mom, dad and his family are unknown. He graduated from culinary school in 1978 and also enrolled at Adelphi University. He rose to fame after becoming the founder of the rap group Public Enemy. The track released by the group, called Public Enemy #1, elevated them to prominence.
