FERNANDO ROMAY: HIS AGE, HIS PARTNER AND HIS HEIGHT
Born in A Coruña in 1959, he left the Galician city to move to Madrid to achieve his dream of being a professional basketball player.
He spent almost his entire career at Real Madrid, a team he started with in 1976 and from which he did not leave until the 1992-1993 season. After leaving the white team, he played for Ferrol and Cai Zaragoza, retiring in 1995.
His record is impressive, having won seven League championships, five King’s Cups, two European Cups, one Korac Cup, two Intercontinental Cups and the Club World Cup.
With the Spanish team he won a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, in the mythical final against the United States, and second place at the Eurobasket in Nantes.
HOW TALL IS FERNANDO ROMAY?
In an interview on the program ‘La Roca’, on laSexta, the former basketball player clarified that he measures 2 meters and 13 centimeters. But his height is not only his, his daughters have inherited his height, since they measure 1.85, and that he needs a two-meter-long bed to sleep since his wife was also basketball player.

Fernando Romay is very discreet with his personal life. «At fifteen years old I met Leticia, who is now my wife. And why do I want more? We are a consensual marriage, as long as I agree with him. Leticia is 1.84. But height has never been a sine qua non for me », he said in 2014 in an interview for the newspaper Hoy.
Both are parents of three children: Macarena, Nacho and Cristina.
