FCMB to increase instant payments using QR codes

To encourage rapid payments for goods and services, First City Monument Bank has introduced a contactless, cardless, and cashless Quick Response code.

According to the bank, it launched the payment option to guarantee a hassle-free shopping and transaction experience for clients and merchants.

The new code may be accessed using the FCMB Mobile App, the lender said in a statement, and it also assures quick value for Peer-to-Peer (P2P) and Peer-to-Business (P2B) payments for goods and services.

Simply scanning a special QR code provided by the retailer or PoS device is all that is required. Each code will be distinct, contain facts about the transaction, and connect to the customer’s mobile app, which is already enabled on their smartphone.

Speaking on the service, FCMB’s managing director, Mrs. Yemisi Edun, reaffirmed the bank’s dedication to implementing cutting-edge solutions that advance people, businesses, and the economy.
