Kerley who is known primarily for competing in the 400 meters distance has earned several medals in several international competitions across the globe, including a silver medal in the 100 m at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. His personal best time of 43.64 seconds makes him the eighth fastest man in history over 400 m
9. Ferdinand Omanyala
Ferdinand Omanyala is a Kenyan Sprinter and also one of the fastest men in the world. He is currently the African record holder and the 8th fastest man of all time in the 100 meters after completing a race in 9.77 seconds. He is the first Kenyan and only African to ever break the 10-second barrier. Omanyala won Kenya’s first gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth games in Birmingham, becoming the first Kenyan to win a gold medal in the 100-meter race.
10. Nesta Carter
Former Jamaican sprinter Nesta Carter concludes the list of the fastest men in the world. He became the fifth sprinter to run the 100 meters in less than 9.8 seconds In 2010. His 100m personal best of 9.78 currently ranks him as the ninth fastest man of all time. Carter was also successful as part of the Jamaican 4 x 100 meters relay team, taking gold and setting successive world records at the 2011 World Championships and 2012 London Olympics.
