Fans Celebrate Davido more than they celebrate Wizkid, Burna boy over Grammy win

Nigerians have taken to social media to laud Davido who seem not to have won a Grammy award.

This is evident in the massive trend that Davido made on Twitter yesterday following the presentation of the Grammy Award.

Despite the fact that he wasn’t given an award, he still managed to generate more trend than Wizkid and Burnaboy.

Needless to mention that there has been a great long time feud amongst fans of Wizkid, Davido and Burna boy as to who is best among the trio.

While Wizkid is mostly silent on the issue and Burna boy occasionally loud, Davido is known for constantly self-acclaiming to be the best of all.

Apparently, the fans postulated that “Grammy or No Grammy, Davido is Still the Best.”

The Icon who was recently featured in Coming to America 2 Movie congratulated Wizkid and Burna boy, pointing that it is a victory for Nigeria.

In his tweet, he wrote:

“Whichever way you look at it, this is a victory for Nigeria for the culture and for my people ! Congrats to our winners! Tule Naija! Flag of Nigeria #Grammys #foreverchoke”

Before now, no Nigerian artiste has ever won a Grammy award and for this, many perceive that there is politics or even racism in the process.

However, yesterday’s event has forever changed the face of things as two, of our very own, were named as part of the winners.

In other News, Davido has been listed as part of the 100 most influential people in the world.

The FEM singer was selected in the Phenoms category alongside stars like Amanda Gorman, Charli D’Amelio, Rege-Jean Page, amongst others.
