Faithia Williams who is from Delta State was born in Lagos on 5 February 1971 to a polygamous family of nine.

She completed her primary and secondary school at Maryland Comprehensive Primary and Secondary School Lagos. She proceeded to Kwara State Polytechnic for her diploma Certificate.

Williams did not stop there, she also studied filming at Olabisi Onabanjo University after she got admission in 2016.

Faithia became an actress by chance. After she was asked by her uncle Alhaji Fatai Teniola to stand in for an actress that failed to show up in one of the productions of their movie.

However, Williams played her first role in the film title “Ta lo pa chief” and ever since then, she has featured in several other Nigerian movies.

In 2000, Faithia Williams married a veteran Nollywood actor Saheed Balogun. The marriage produced two children, a son and a daughter. Faithia has a son from an earlier marriage.

In 2006, Williams and Balogun ended their marriage but officially divorced in 2014. Faithia, however, kept her husband’s surname till 2017.
