Actress Ini Edo apart from being a beautiful Nigerian actress, she is also a model, entrepreneur and philanthropist and television personality. She is one of the actresses with the highest pay in Nigeria.
Background
Ini Edo was born on April 23rd 1982, she is an Ibibio from Akwa Ibom State in the South-south part of Nigeria, not from Calabar. Her mother was a teacher, and her father a church elder. Ini Edo had a strict upbringing, the second of four children, three girls, one boy.
Education
The actress attended Cornelia Connely College in Uyo. She graduated from the University of Uyo where she got a Diploma in Theatre Arts. She also completed her bachelor’s degree program at the University of Calabar where she studied English. she got a scholarship to study law at the National Open University of Nigeria in 2014
Acting Career
Ini Edo started auditioning for acting jobs in Nollywood while still in the university as an undergraduate, she joined the Nigerian movie industry, popularly known as Nollywood professionally in 2000 and started play minor roles in movies.
She made her career debut in 2003 when she appeared in the film Thick Madam. However, her big breakthrough came in 2004 when she acted in World Apart as Uli.
She has since then appeared in over 250 films; she is one of the most successful actresses in Nigeria.

Ini Edo apart from acting is also a model and reigning queen. She was announced as a judge for the Miss Black Africa United Kingdom beauty pageant in 2013
Marital life
The actress got married to a famous American-based businessman named Philip Ehiagwina in 2008. Their wedding was first celebrated and officially registered in Nigeria and several months, in February 2009, repeated in Texas where the husband lived.
The actress is currently divorced. In 2014, everything collapsed, and Ini stepped out of the unhappy marriage claiming that the reason for their divorce was certain “irreconcilable differences,” which the couple could not overcome. Ini Edo marriage only lasted six years, and the actress is currently single and focusing on her own life. The actress, however, does not have any children yet.
