Even though we are all yet to recover from the effect of the crate challenge that took the world by storm in September 2021, there is another one called the confession challenge
Social media Challenges have become part of our everyday culture, there is always a challenge trending one day or the other. these social media challenges are a great way for users to increase engagement, impressions and, overall, grow their following.
On Wednesday, the confession challenge was birthed, Just as the name suggests, the challenge enables social media to share some of their most ugly dirtiest secrets.
Several social media users piled up behind the trending ‘confessions’ hashtag to offload some deadweight from their closet and just as expected some shocking revelations were made.

The challenge has risen to number 2 on the Twitter trend table with over 20thousands confessions from different users. The challenge is also trending on Tiktok with over 1.7 million videos uploaded using the Confession challenge hashtag.
Social media challenges are something that has become prevalent in our culture, however the negative effect of this challenges should not be ignored.
September last year we the damage done caused by the crate challenge, also known as the milk crate challenge, a challenge that involves people climbing a stack of milk crates shaped like a pyramid. The participant is expected to climb up to the top of the crates and climb back down without destroying the structure or falling, risking injury.
Several Doctors and Othorpedist have condemned the crate challenge with many warning the public against participating in such challenge.
Medical authorities from the united states stated that injuries sustained from the crate challenge are perhaps even worse than falling from a ladder. Another noted that it is inevitable that one is going to get hurt while trying the challenge, noting that it’s almost as if the challenge were deliberately set up to see how badly a person can be injured doing it.
On August 25, 2021, TikTok made a statement that they will remove videos with the hashtag and return an error message when a user looks up the #MilkCrateChallenges, noting that the platform prohibits content that promotes or glorifies dangerous acts.
