Fast and Furious 9 (F9) is a 2021 American action film directed by Justin Lin, the movie is the ninth main installment, and the tenth full-length film released overall in the Fast & Furious franchise.

The movie featured Hollywood stars like  Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, John Cena, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Michael Rooker, Helen Mirren, Kurt Russell, and Charlize Theron.

In the film, Dominic Toretto played by Vin diesel and the team come together to stop a world-shattering plot headed by Toretto’s brother, Jakob (John Cena).

It begins with an opening scene of how Jakob and Vin Diesel lost their father to a car racing accident. It portrayed ‘family bond’ as its central theme, and also had unity, love, relationship, networking, rejection, hope, forgiveness, resentment, determination, respect, and innovation among others, as sub-themes.

The deploys acrobatic acts, car races, car stunts, martial arts, comic reliefs, sarcasm, and irony to entertain viewers. It also used suspense to perfectly sustain the viewer’s attention.

The movie was originally scheduled for worldwide release in April 2020 but was delayed several times, due to several reasons It was however premiered in South Korea and was released internationally on May 19, 2021, and released in the United States on June 25.

The movie was shot in Hertfordshire, England, Los Angeles, Edinburgh, London, and also took place in Thailand for the first time, with Krabi, Ko Pha-ngan, and Phuket used as locations. some part of the film was also shot in Tbilisi, Georgia.

As of the moment of writing this article, the Movie has It has grossed over $418 million worldwide.

According to reports, F9 will be followed by a tenth installment. In October 2020, it was revealed that the series will conclude with a tenth and an eleventh installment, with Lin, set to direct and the cast set to return for both.
