Everlast’s first solo album, Forever Everlasting (1990), in which MC Ice-T contributed heavily to its release, did not sell well. After the album failed, Everlast teamed up with DJ Lethal and his high school friend Danny Boy to form House of Pain in Los Angeles, California

The group was signed to Tommy Boy Records, and their self-titled debut album (1992) went multi-platinum, releasing the DJ Muggs-produced single ‘Jump Around’. This song has also been remixed twice by Pete Rock, one version with a verse by him and one without. The album also featured Cypress Hill member B-Real on the song “Put Your Head Out”.

Posing as rowdy Irish-American hooligans, they toured with a number of rap and alternative rock bands such as The Ramones, Beastie Boys and Rage Against the Machine after their breakthrough. They participated with Helmet, along with several other rap groups, on the soundtrack to the film Judgment Night, an influential 1993 rock-rap collaboration. The group eventually disbanded in 1996, and Everlast again pursued a solo career.

After eight years of performing as a solo artist, he released his second album Whitey Ford Sings the Blues (1998). It was both a commercial and critical success. The album has sold over three million copies. Whitey Ford Sings the Blues won acclaim for its blend of rap with acoustic and electric guitars, developed by Everlast with producers Dante Ross and John Gamble. The album’s lead single ‘What It’s Like’ proved to be its most popular and successful song, although the following single, ‘Ends’, also charted in the US rock top 10.

Her fourth solo album, White Trash Beautiful (2004), was subsequently released after a nearly four-year hiatus. Produced by Everlast and Dante Ross and featuring a lead single of the same name, White Trash Beautiful has been described as an “effective blend of hip-hop trope and bluesy strum”.

As of 2017, joining Divine Styler and Sick Jacken, Everlast released a Warporn mixtape. On September 7, 2018, Everlast Studio’s 7th album Whitey Ford’s House Of Pain was released. He continued his tremendous performance and he is still very active in the music scene. His fans are waiting for the release of his next album which we are sure will be a hit as he has honed his skills in the art.
