Evan Rachel Wood

She has known success as an actress in film, theater and television, since she was very little, and she has also excelled as a singer. Evan Rachel Wood seems so far specialized in being the daughter of the star of the day, but she is growing little by little.

On September 7, 1987, in the bosom of a Jewish family, Evan Rachael Wood was born (later he would remove an “a” from his middle name), in Raleigh (North Carolina). Few in his family are strangers to the world of acting, as his mother, Sara Lynn More, is an actress and Dramatic Art teacher, while his father, David Wood III, works as an author and theater director. His brother Ira David Wood IV is also an actor, and he has an aunt, Carol Winstead Wood, a production designer.

Thus, the girl had all the ballots to continue in the family business, and when she was a few months old, her father included her in one of his productions, “A Christmas Carol”, at the theater. When she grew up, her parent turned her into the deafblind Helen Keller, in a cut of “The Miracle of Anna Sullivan,” in which her mother was the teacher.

She made her small screen debut in the telefilm In the Best of Families: Marriage, Pride & Madness , and in movies she was the daughter of Sandra Bullock , in Practically Magic . She was not her only role as the daughter of her big star, as she had Al Pacino in S1m0ne as her father , and her mother was Cate Blanchett in Disappearances .

One of her best works to date is undoubtedly Catherine Hardwicke ‘s Teenager from Thirteen . Her “Tracy” was a selfish young woman spiraling into drugs and alcohol.

A great admirer of The Beatles, she had the opportunity to sing songs by this legendary group in the musical Across the Universe , by Julie Taymor . As her co-stars, she recorded all of her songs with her own voice.

Evan Rachel Wood also proved herself well as the estranged daughter of her father, Mickey Rourke , in The Wrestler . And although she wasn’t her daughter, she was in a father-son relationship with Larry David in Woody Allen ‘s If It Works .

In her personal life, Evan Rachel Wood had an intense romance with actor Jamie Bell , with whom she had filmed a Green Day video clip. They both got each other’s initials tattooed, and in fact Wood still has a “J” on her ankle. She has also been related to actors Shane West and Edward Norton –Her co-star in In the Valley– , and singer Marilyn Manson .

Awaiting release is The Conspirator , directed by Robert Redford , where she is the daughter of Robin Wright , the only woman in the group accused of conspiring to assassinate Lincoln.
