Eric Shawn, an American television news anchor and reporter, is best known for his work on Fox News Channel. He began working in the field of journalism in 1996 and currently serves as co-anchor of the Sunday edition of Fox News Live.

Eric Shawn was born on the 12th of March 1957 in New York City, New York, United States of America. He was born to his biological parents, Gilbert Shawn and Melba Rae. His father, Gilbert, is a former Army lieutenant colonel and his mother, Melba Rae, is a soap opera actress. His parents raised him with great compassion and care along with his sister, Lisa Shawn.
Eric Shawn joined Trinity School and completed his studies from there in 1975. He was very enthusiastic from his childhood. Eric Shawn enrolled at Georgetown University. In 1979, he graduated from college with a major in Urban Studies. He was interested in reporting from his school days.
