#ENDSARS: 6 months after Twitter laments increase in police brutality
Embittered Nigerians have taken to social media to lament the continued increase in police brutality in Nigerian streets. This, however, in remembrance of armless protesters gunned down by Nigerian soldiers last year.
Embittered Nigerians have taken to social media to lament the continued increase in police brutality on Nigerian streets. This, however, in remembrance of armless protesters gunned down by Nigerian soldiers last year.
You will recall that on the evening of October 20, military officers from Bonny Cantonment, Victoria Island, Lagos, opened fire on hundreds of Nigerians demanding an end to police brutality in the country.
While judicial panels are still seating across the country, some young Nigerians are today drawing the government’s attention to cases of unjust police detention and extortion of citizens which seem to have skyrocketed in recent days.

Some of you remember six months ago for the military raid on #EndSARS protesters in Lekki. I do too. But the bigger personal significance for me: this was the night I drove to the den of kidnappers in Ekiti to pick up my abducted friend. A thread on insecurity in Nigeria.
