Emily Ears was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she was born. Elisabeth Moore, her mother, also produces YouTube videos, she has a younger brother, Troy, as well as two sisters, Steph and Zahara Thomas. Steph, the sister of Emily’s Ears, is a YouTuber, model, singer, and brand influencer. In Dallas, Texas, her other sister Zahara works as a circus performer, dancer, and choreographer.
RichBoy Troy is the stage name of her brother, a rapper, and YouTuber (RBT). When Emily was nine months old, her hearing in both ears was found to be impaired. She could barely hear out of one ear and not at all out of the other. Her struggle with her hearing loss was documented on her family’s YouTube channel until she accepted it and became accustomed to her hearing aids.

Emily Ears became well-known on YouTube by primarily posting joke videos, along with her pal Adrian, also known online as Smurftz, they were both members of the Adrian and Emily web group. They both produced dancing videos and had hearing impairments. Following a furious dispute on Instagram live, the couple parted ways in 2019.
Since then, Emily has produced videos for Emily’s Ears, her own channel. Pranks, comedic videos, lifestyle vlogs, and occasionally hair and makeup lessons are shared by her.
