- Dixie Locke (1953-1955) – In the early months of 1953, Presley began dating Dixie Locke. They were high school sweethearts. He even took her as his date for junior and senior degrees from South Side High School in 1954 and 1955. Eventually, however, they broke up and decided to end their relationship by mutual consent. She felt his career was going in one direction and she wasn’t a part of it.

She visited them again for Christmas and he managed to convince her parents that she was allowed to move to Graceland. After her parents agreed, she moved to Graceland in March 1963. Her parents had insisted that she live with his father and stepmother until she finished her schooling. But that didn’t work within a few weeks, she lived with Elvis. Before Christmas 1966 he proposed to her. They married in Las Vegas in May 1967. In February 1968, she gave birth to their only daughter, Lisa Marie. During their marriage, Presley had numerous affairs and while he was touring or filming in LA she had to live at Graceland which ruined their marriage. She also had an affair with a dance teacher whom she called Mark in her book. She later took up karate at his suggestion. While taking karate lessons she began an affair with Mike Stone, who was her instructor. This affair further hastened the end of their marriage, and in February 1972 they formally separated. Their divorce was finalized in October 1973.

- Carol Connors (1960) – Carol Connors impressed Presley with her song Knowing Him Is Loving Him . - In June 1993, he was featured on a series of rock and blues legends stamps issued by the US Postal Services.
- Popular singer and actor Liberace had first suggested that he add flashy costumes to his act, after which Elvis opted to wear his iconic jeweled white jumpsuits and gold lame jackets. As a token of his gratitude, Elvis kept a seat for Liberace at most concerts.
