Elizabeth J. Robertson was born on March 27, 1970 in Los Angeles, although her family quickly moved to Dallas (Texas). Thanks to a scholarship she was able to study acting at Stephens College, a prestigious institution, from which she went on to the Dallas Theater Center. Before making her television debut, she performed several plays, such as “Measure for Measure” and “As You Like It” by William Shakespeare .
After various inconsequential roles in series like Dangerous Curves , he got his big break with a leading role in Gia . There, she played a make-up artist who had a lesbian relationship with the model played by Angelina Jolie , the protagonist. She next appeared as a supporting role on Frequency and Chasing Betty , and she also played a doctor on numerous episodes of the series ER . She played the wife of the histrionic Tim Allen in the comedies Santa Claus 2 and Santa Claus 3 , which against all odds were very successful.
Divorced from Gary Bakewell , a television actor, she got married to another, Chris Soldevilla ( Seven in Paradise ), with whom she had a boy named Christopher in 2005.
The greatest success of her career came with the series Lost , where she plays Juliet Burke, the restless doctor from “The Others”, who ends up joining the survivors of the Oceanic flight. She appeared for the first time in the third season, and although she didn’t seem like she was going to have much importance in the plot, she gradually became one of the most prominent characters in it. Next, she was chosen to star in V (2009) , a remake of the famous 80’s series about an alien invasion, in which she plays an FBI agent, mother of a boy who is fascinated with new arrivals.
