Eid-el-Kabir: Kalu urges Muslims to Follow Prophet Muhammed’s Footsteps
Former Abia State governor, Orji Kalu has urged Muslims to uphold the teachings of the holy Quran in all their endeavours and uphold the exemplary qualities of Prophet Muhammed.
Kalu stated this in his goodwill message on Tuesday in Abuja in commemoration of the 2023 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
He also urged the Muslim community to extend the merriment of the celebration to people of other religious faiths.
Kalu said, “This is yet another opportunity for sober reflection as a nation.
“Muslims must uphold the exemplary and outstanding qualities of Prophet Muhammed (SAW) in their daily pursuits.”
According to the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, “acts of love, almsgiving, togetherness, piety, selflessness and patriotism must be imbibed in all our endeavours.”
He said that Nigeria was blessed with religious, ethnic and cultural diversity.
While cautioning against hate speech and inflammatory utterances, Kalu described peace as a panacea for growth and development.
Kalu, the immediate past chief whip of the senate, urged the Muslim ummah (community)_to extend the merriment of the celebration to people of other religious faiths.

“The acts of love, togetherness, selflessness, piety, almsgiving and patriotism must be imbibed in all our endeavours.
“Let us support and complement the efforts of the Federal Government in building a prosperous nation. “We must continue to live in peace and harmony regardless of our religious differences,” he said.
