He participated in more than one hundred and eighty films and seventy-five plays. Actor Eduardo Fajardo died in Mexico on Thursday, July 4, 2019, at the age of 94, according to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. “He was one of our most prolific actors,” the institution said.

Born on August 14, 1924, in Meis (Pontevedra), his parents soon moved to Haro (La Rioja), where he felt he was from. Between 1942 and 1946 he works as a dubbing actor.

After signing an exclusive contract with the production company Cifesa, he made his first screen appearance in 1947, with Héroes del 95 , by Raúl Alfonso , followed by secondary characters in great hits such as Locura de amor (1948), by Juan de Orduña , Balarrasa (1950), by José Antonio Nieves Conde or Alba de América (1951), by Juan de Orduña .

After a few years in Mexico, where he appeared in titles such as  Tehuantepec , by Miguel Contreras Torres (1954), or Tizoc: Amor indio , by Ismael Rodríguez Ruelas (1957), Eduardo Fajardo returned to Spain where he developed a frenetic activity, as he reached an average of fifteen titles per year. He stood out as a villain in  Alberto De Martino ‘s 7th Cavalry (1965) , or Sergio Corbucci ‘s Django (1966) . At the same time, he becomes a regular at the theater.

In his last active years, he lavished himself on series, such as Los gozos y las sombras or  La barraca , and he continued to perform on stage or in films such as Cándida . In 2002 he was appointed head of the Theater Without Barriers project, which works to adapt billboard shows for people with disabilities, based on subtitles or audio guides.
