He was most remembered as Jonathan Kent, adoptive father of the Man of Steel, in “Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.” Eddie Jones, with vast experience in film and television, passed away on July 6, 2019, at the age of 84, at a Los Angeles hospital. “When he was onstage, you couldn’t take your eyes off him. When he was offstage, his bright, wide smile would light up the room. Everyone who knew Eddie, or was lucky enough to work with him, was touched. for his kind and generous nature. We will all miss him,” says the official statement from the Interact Theater Company, the company to which he belonged.

Born on September 18, 1934, in the capital of the United States, Edward Jones worked as a gas station attendant, where he was discovered by an acting agent who encouraged him to enter the world of acting. He ended up triumphing on the charts with Jason Miller ‘s “That Championship Season” and Sam Shepard ‘s “Curse of the Starving Class . ” In total he appeared in 250 theatrical productions throughout his career.

He made his film debut as a supporting role in  Robert Mulligan ‘s Stony, Hot Blood . He appeared episodically in titles such as Entre pillos anda el juego , Invasion USA , Manhattan Sur ,  Rocketeer , Los timadores , Sneakers (Los fisgones) or Seabiscuit, beyond the legend . But his face began to sound to viewers like Jonathan Kent, opposite Dean Cain , in all four seasons of Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman , which began airing in 1993. Eddie Jones married Anita Khanzadian-Jones, stage director, in 1991, with whom he had no children.
