Draymond Jamal Green Sr. was born on March 4, 1990, in Saginaw, Michigan. During his high school years, Draymond started playing basketball competitively for the first time. He led his high school to a Class A State Championship and a 26-1 record.
He was determined to play for Michigan State by his senior year and succeeded in his endeavor. Over the course of his four years of collegiate basketball, Green made a lot of significant contributions to Michigan State, and he is one of just three players in school history to have amassed over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.

Draymond Green played football for Lou Dawkins at Saginaw High School in Saginaw, Michigan. He averaged 12 points and 11 rebounds per game as a sophomore in 2005-2006.
