DR. JEFF YOUNG: EARLY CHILDHOOD, FAMILY, AND EDUCATION
Dr. Jeff Young was born on April 14, 1956 in Indiana, United States. He decided to become a veterinarian since he was eight years old. The death of his pet dog at the age of eight inspired him to become a veterinarian. His love for animals grew gradually as he always tried to pet them and set them free. He graduated in 1989 from Colorado State University in veterinary medicine. Soon after, he began working in Fort Collins, Colorado as an animal protection officer, which maintained his strong animal care ethics.
Also, the TV personality was born to Esther Steven and her husband. However, his father’s name is not available. Dr. Jeff also has a half-brother named “Jay Stevens”. He married Petra Young in 2014. Petra Young is a veterinarian and reality TV personality, just like Dr. Jeff. In fact, she came into the limelight through the show “Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet” as she works alongside him at “Planned Pethood Plus,” a veterinary clinic in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Dr. Jeff has three children with his unnamed first wife. However, one of these three children, ‘Melody’, works with the father in his veterinary clinic.

The vet started his career right after graduation. Later, he joined the reality show with the TV program “Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet’, first aired July 11, 2015. In the TV show, Doctor Jeff Young performs various surgeries on animals with the help of his team of experts. The show had to stop due to Doctor Jeff’s health issues, but resumed again after he got better.
As a veterinarian, he has been working for more than 25 years. Dr. Jeff is always willing to perform all kinds of surgeries unless the results might increase the risks. One of the main reasons he neuters and neuters animals is to control the population of cats and dogs that end up in shelters and to improve the health issues associated with unharmed pets. It provides low-cost sterilizations and neutralizations for its clientele and has performed over 165,000 surgeries. He works to make a difference in Denver and beyond. In fact: unlike Dr. Jeff, some vets are motivated by money rather than the well-being of their patients, which horrified Dr. Jeff.

Dr Jeff was diagnosed with cancer in 2016. He had B-cell lymphoma and doctors working on his treatment could find an 8cm lump in his lungs. It has also been said that the vet died of cancer despite his treatment being wrong. During the chemotherapy treatment, he cut off his long hair. After a successful treatment, he works again to film his work with his employees.
The vet had two marriages. He divorced his first wife because he could not devote his time to her work. Later he married his colleague, Petra Micova.
