Dominic Keating is an English television, film and theater actor. He is well known for his portrayal of Tony on the Channel 4 sitcom Desmond and Lieutenant Malcolm Reed on Star Trek, Enterprise. He also played Tony on the sitcom Desmond’s from 1989 to 1993. Keating also does commercial and voice-over work, perhaps most famously on a Vidal Sassoon commercial from the early 1990s, where his British pronunciation of “living room brought him some notice as well as a parody on Saturday Night Live. He has also done voice work for various audiobooks and also voiced (uncredited) the minor character “Mouse” in BioWare’s Dragon Age: Origins. He has also recently appeared in adverts for Sprint/Nextel as fictional British rock star Ian Westbury.

He has appeared in films including The Hollywood Sign, The Author Theory and upcoming films Certifiably Jonathan, Hollywood Kills and Robert Zemeckis’ animated version of Beowulf. At a Star Trek convention in Sacramento, California on September 9, 2006, he announced that he had been cast as the Australian scientist in the Species sequel, Species IV. Desmond’s was a British television sitcom broadcast by Channel 4 from 1989 to 1994. At 71 episodes, Desmond’s became Channel 4’s longest running sitcom by episodes. The first series was filmed in 1988, with the first episode airing in January 1989. The show was set in Peckham, London, and featured a mostly black cast from British Guiana. Conceived and co-written by Trix Worrell, and produced by Charlie Hanson and Humphrey Barclay, this series starred Norman Beaton as barber Desmond Ambrose. The Desmond Shop was a gathering place for an assortment of local characters. Dominic Keating had a role in this film as Tony in episode 36.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an American supernatural drama television series based on the 1992 film of the same name. It was created by Joss Whedon under his production label, Mutant Enemy Productions, with subsequent co-executive producers being Jane Espenson, David Fury, David Greenwalt, Doug Petrie, Marti Noxon and David Solomon. The series premiered on March 10, 1997 on The WB and ended on May 20, 2003 on UPN. The series’ narrative follows Buffy Summers (played by Sarah Michelle Gellar), the latest in a line of young women known as the “Vampire Slayers”, or simply “Slayers”.
In the story, the slayers or “chosen” are “called” (chosen by fate) to fight vampires, demons, and other forces of darkness. Buffy wants to live a normal life, but as the series progresses she learns to embrace her destiny. Like previous Slayers, Buffy is aided by a Watcher, who guides, teaches, and trains her. Unlike her predecessors, Buffy surrounds herself with a loyal circle of friends who become known as the “Scooby Gang”.

Prison Break is an American soap opera created by Paul Scheuring for Fox. The series revolves around two brothers, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) and Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller); Burrows has been sentenced to death for a crime he didn’t commit, and Scofield hatches an elaborate plan to help his brother escape from prison and clear his name. The series was produced by Adelstein-Parouse Productions, in association with Original Television and 20th Century Fox Television. With creator Paul Scheuring, the series is produced by Matt Olmstead, Kevin Hooks, Marty Adelstein, Dawn Parouse, Neal H. Moritz and Brett Ratner who directed the pilot episode. The series’ theme music, composed by Ramin Djawadi, was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2006.
The series was initially turned down by Fox in 2003, which was concerned about the long-term prospects of such a series. Following the popularity of the primetime television series Lost and 24, Fox decided to back the production in 2004. The first season received generally positive reviews and performed well in the ratings. The first season was originally slated for a 13-episode run, but was expanded to include nine additional episodes due to its popularity. Prison Break was nominated for several industry awards, including the 2005 Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Series and the 2006 People’s Choice Award for Favorite New TV Series, which it won. In the United States, all five seasons have been released on DVD and released on Blu-ray at international. Dominic Keating had a role in Prisonbreak as Andrew Tyge.

Keating enjoyed success on the British stage before working as a television and film actor. He originated the role of “Cosmo” in Philip Ridley’s The Pitchfork Disney,[4] as well as that of “Bryan” in Among the Barbarians by Michael Wall, for which he won a Mobil Award. He has also worked on stage in the UK and Los Angeles, including the solo play The Christian Brothers at King’s Cross, in The Best Years of Your Life at the Man in the Moon Theatre, Screamers at the Edinburgh Playhouse Festival, and Alfie at the Tiffany Theatre.
