Dolph Lundgren was born on November 3, 1957, and his birthplace is Spånga, Stockholm, Sweden. He was born as the son of mother Sigrid Birgitta and father Karl Johan Hugo Lundgren. His mother was a language teacher and his father was a Swedish government economist and engineer. He grew up in Stockholm. According to the ethnic origin of him he is white. His nationality is Swedish. He has two sisters and an older brother.
Dolph Lundgren attended Washington State University where he studied chemistry and later joined Clemson University. And he earned a BS in Chemistry from Washington State University. In the 1970s he joined the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and graduated with a degree in chemical engineering.

In 2003, he made his appearance in the action movie Detention. His other highly successful film appearances include The Mechanik (2005), Diamond Dogs (2007), Command Performance (2009), The Expendables (2010), Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (2012), The Package (2013), The Expendables Expendables 3 (2014), The Good, the Bad and the Dead (2015) and Kindergarten Cop 2 (2016).
