On the other hand, between 1995 and 2000, Dick Halligan composed several classical works of chamber music, including a concerto for trumpet, a string quartet and a trio for bassoon, flute and harp, recorded by the  Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra . Starting in the year 2000, he returns to playing jazz with his own quartet.
