Diane Neal is an American actress best known for playing the role of Casey Novak in the American police procedural and legal crime drama television series, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit from 2003 to 2008 and from 2011 to 2012 when her role was repeated again.
Early age and education
Diane Neal was born on November 17, 1976 in Alexandria, Virginia. As for her ethnicity, Neal is a white American and she is also a US national.
Neal was born to a math teacher named Colleen Neal and a federal attorney, Christopher Neal. She is the youngest of three children. She has two sisters, Leigh and Erin. When Neals’ father was promoted to federal attorney in Denver, her family moved to Littleton, Colorado.
Neal always wanted to study at the Ivy League school, but her parents forced her to study at the school where her brothers studied. Daine Neal went to the Atlantic Acting School for a six week acting course. She also joined Harvard University and majored in a pre-med course.

Neal started his modeling career since 1994, at the age of 18. During that time, she modeled for various magazines and advertising companies. Her first notable acting job was in the 2001 YV film Ed , as Vanessa. The same year, Neal played Prudence Fisher in an episode of the TV movie Chuck.
Diane Neal made her big screen debut voicing the character Cleopatra in Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (2002) . Diane Neal married Irish actor Marcus Fitzgerald in 2005. The couple dated for ten years before tying the knot. However, they divorced in 2014. Neal still has no children, neither with her ex-husband Marcus nor out of wedlock.
