He took part in about twenty films, and well-known television series. Actress Diana Douglas, divorced wife of Kirk Douglas, and mother of Michael Douglas, died on July 3, 2015 at the age of 92 in Los Angeles, as a result of cancer.

Born on January 22, 1923 in Devonshire (in the Bermuda Islands), Diana Love Dill was the daughter of an American military man. She studied at the American Academy in New York, where she had Kirk Douglas as a fellow student .

She began her career with an uncredited appearance in The Sacred Flame in 1942. That same year she began modeling, appearing on the cover of Life magazine during World War II. One copy came into the hands of the aforementioned Douglas, who was then serving on a Navy ship. Upon seeing her former companion, he assured her fellow sailors that he would marry her. In November 1943 the couple married. They had two sons, the later actor Michael Douglas , and the producer Joel Douglas. Along with her husband, she played her most important role, the mother of a child who asks the protagonist to tell her stories about the Indians, in Pact of Honor , by André de Toth .

Later he specialized in series such as Flipper , Days of Our Lives , or Las calles de San Francisco , where he appeared with his son. Her latest feature film, Family Matters, matched the entire clan, as not only were Kirk and Michael there, but also his grandson, Cameron Douglas , whose subsequent career on celluloid was rather short-lived. The actress then appeared in the series ER and The West Wing of the White House .

Divorcing Douglas in 1951, she married Bill Darrid, who died in 1992. She was later married for the rest of her life to Donald A. Webster. “She was a person loved by the whole world. One of her great qualities is that she was always thinking of others,” the latter declared after her death.
