Dharmesh Yelande is an Indian dancer, choreographer and actress best known for her participation in the second season of Dance India Dance which began on December 18, 2009 where he landed as the first runner-up to Shakti Mohan. He was also a contestant on India Dance Li’l Masters , a spin-off of the original series, as well as Dance Ke Superkids , where he was a captain of Team Wakao. His appearance in these shows on Zee TV was noticed by industry professionals, which led to his being hired as a choreographer in Tshirt Maar Khan (2010), by the film’s director, Farah Khan.

In 2013 he starred in a 3D feature film ABCD and in 2015 in ABCD 2 , its sequel. Dharmesh’s dance skills and knowledge were first revealed in Angarki (2013), a Marathi film about Hindu Muslim uprisings, but also because he was a judge and mentor in a dance TV reality show Dance Plus Dharmesh was a creator and founder of the academy, titled D’virus Dance Academy , is located in Vadodara, Gujarat, India.

  1. Although he was born in Maharashtra, he has lived all his life in Vadodara, Gujarat and his Marathi is not as good as Gujarati. Because of this, he considers himself a real blue Gujarati.
  2. In the early years of trying to be a dancer, he worked as a peon to ensure he had both the budget and free time to pursue his passion.
  3. He initially wanted to go to Mumbai, India and become a backdancer for a celebrity or a singer.
  4. Dharmesh founded D’virus Dance Academy with his brother Kalpesh Yelande. He said that he wants his students to succeed but doesn’t want to spoon feed them or give them special treatment. The reason for this – he believed that success is only sweet if you worked for it.
  5. He ran a “Sev Usal Laari Stand”, which is a well-known Indian dish, in Vadodara. It was right next to his father’s tea stand and enabled him to earn enough money for daily expenses. Dharmesh said he had to be very careful not to eat it all as it was very tasty and appealing.
