Devon Erickson (born 2001) is an American high school student, actor, musician, controversial personality, criminal, and murderer from Colorado. He is accused of exposing a mass shooting at a Denver-area charter school.
Additionally, 18-year-old Devon has been identified as one of two students involved in the Highlands Ranch STEM School shooting . The school is located in Douglas County, Colorado, USA.
Also, the other suspect in the crime is a 16-year-old student named Alec McKinney . Both were students at the same school where they carried out their evil deeds. In addition, the incident injured 8 students and injured a senior named Kendrick Castillo (18 years old).
On April 8, 2019, Devon and Alec made their first court appearance. However, McKinney is a minor and the judge did not allow photos or videos of her to be clicked. Erickson charged with 30 criminal counts which also included one count of first degree murder and 29 counts of attempted first degree murder.
In fact, both prisoners will again appear separately in court on Friday afternoon. The main motive of both criminals was to take revenge on the society and the school.
According to a source, they were bullied and wanted to show their anger towards others at school in a brutal way. Devon also takes drugs and has been in therapy.
STEM School Highlands Ranch shooting and murder case
The horrible incident took place on May 7, 2019 at 1:53 pm local time. Devon Erickson and his friend, Alec, entered the school with guns and other weapons. In addition, they started shooting at two separate locations and injured several students.
Later, school authorities announced a closure and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office posted a notice via Twitter to avoid the area. They also described it as an uncertain situation.
Police arrived at the scene and used a bomb disposal robot after finding tactical equipment inside one of the suspects’ transports. Meanwhile, a group of brave students disarmed one of the criminals.
Unfortunately, Kendrick Castillo was killed in the shooting attack while protecting other students. According to his classmate, Bialy, they were sitting by the door of a classroom when Erickson from his class arrived late and pulled out a gun.

Castillo immediately jumped on him and tried to pin him. Devon opened fire on him, shooting him two or three times. Bialy and a third student joined in and fought the shooter. They managed to get the gun from him and took control of the situation.
However, when Bialy approached Castillo, he saw that he did not respond and died shortly after. Kendrick’s actions turned out to be heroic and his father “John Castillo” is also proud of his only son.
