Derek Luke is an American actor who rose to fame for playing the title role of Antwone Fisher in a hit movie of the same name. His success as Antone earned him an illustrious Independent Spirit Award. This positive result also opened the door to other chances in his acting career. Derek then had a role in the movies called Friday Night Lights and Notorious. Notorious became a mega-hit and it made its way into theaters.

Early in his acting career, Derek first played the lead role of Antwone Fisher in 2002. This role was one that opened up various opportunities in his career.
