1. He began his basketball journey in 1989 with Proleter Zrenjanin.
2. Bodiroga was already 2.05 m tall at the age of 15.
3. Dejan moved to Zadar at the age of 17.

5. Despite having offers from AEK and Olympiacos, Bodiroga decided to continue his career at Stefanel Trieste, a team coached by Bogdan Tanjevic.
