David Adeleke popularly known as Davido is one of the biggest Nigerian stars on the planet. He alongside Wizkid and Burna Boy is responsible for pioneering African sound on the international scene. These prominent acts were able to kick start the Afrobeat Global campaign through certain collaborations with some of the biggest international stars on the scene. In celebration of this milestone, we have compiled a list of Davido’s top 10 international collaborations.
1. Blow My Mind – Davido ft Chris Brown
Blow my mind featuring Chris Brown is Davido’s best international collaboration arguably one of the biggest in the country. It was the fourth lead single off Davido’s third studio album ” A Good Time”. Blow My mind is Davido’s third most commercially successful song behind “If” and “Fall”. It peaked no 3  on the World Digital Billboard charts and amassed one million views in 11 hours, the fastest Nigerian music video to achieve this feat.
2. Fans Mi – Davido ft Meek Mill
Fans Mi featuring Meek Mill takes second place among Davido’s best international collaborations, as it marks  Davido’s entry into the Western scene and on the Billboard Charts. The song was released in 2015,  and was one of the major hit tracks off Davido’s second studio album “The Baddest”.
3. The Sound – Davido ft Uhuru & DJ Buckz
The Sound featuring Uhuru & Dj Bucks is not just a classic but one of Davido’s best international collaborations. It was one of the hit songs off his second studio album The Baddest which was released in September 2015. The song was one of the few songs that established Davido’s presence all over Africa.
4. Â Tchelete – Davido ft. Mafikizolo
Tchelete ft Mafikizolo was the genesis of Davido’s foray into the international market. He collaborated with the South African singing duo, Mafikizolo, breaking into the South African market and the entire continent at large. The song was released on the 30th of April, 2014, and was to instant commercial success.
5. D & G – Davido ft Summer Walker
D & G ft Summer Walker is one the Davido’s best international collaborations, despite that it was an unexpected marriage of sounds. It was the sixth song on Davido’s third studio album, A Good Time. Davido told CNN that all proceeds from the “D&G” video will support the Dolce & Gabbana and Humanitas Together for Coronavirus Research Fund.
7. Â Risky- Davido & Popcaan
Risky is also one of Davido’s best international collaborations. It features guest vocals by Jamaican singer Popcaan, who previously enlisted Davido to appear on his 2018 single “Dun Rich”. The Song was released on October 23, 2019, as the fifth lead single off Davido’s third studio album, A Good Time.
8. Shopping Spree – Davido Ft Chris Brown and Young Thug
Shopping Spree ft Chris Brown and Young Thug is the eighth track on Davido’s third studio album, A Better Time, which was released in 2020. It is one of Davido’s best international collaborations and One of Chris Brown’s major collaborations with Nigerian Artists.
9. Holy Ground ft Nicki Minaj
Holy Ground ft Nicki Minaj is the fourth track on  Davido’s third studio album, A Better Time and one of Davido’s best international collaborations. Holy Ground is not commercially successful as other Davido’s songs but it is one of his most creative pieces.
10. Pere – Davido ft. Rae Sremmurd & Young Thug
With ‘Pere,’ Davido took the Nigerian flag into an Atlanta trap house and hoisted it high. ‘Pere’ might come with an impressive lineup of three rappers, yet despite this, Davido’s input was not number four.
