Davido makes first public appearance since son demise, grace Adeleke’s inauguration as Osun Governor

Davido makes his first public appearance since Ifeanyi’s death, graces his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke’s inauguration as Osun Governor.

Senator  Adeleke has been sworn in as the sixth governor of Osun State. The oath of office was administered on Sunday by Osun State Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo at the Osogbo City Stadium in the state capital.

While Adeleke took his oath of office at about 11:50 am, his deputy, Kola Adewusi, followed suit some 15 minutes later.

Atiku Abubakar, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, his running mate, and Delta Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa were among the dignitaries at the well-attended event. Davido, a well-known musician and the governor’s nephew, also attended.

Governors Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Emmanuel Udom (Akwa Ibom), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), and Duoye Diri are also present (Bayelsa). Ayo Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, and Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, were also included.

Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, the incumbent and main competitor, was defeated by Adeleke of the PDP on July 16 in the governorship election in Osun State (APC).

More so, the governor’s nephew, Davido, a well-known singer made his first public appearance after the death of his son.

Additionally present are the governors of Edo, Akwa Ibom, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto, and Duoye Diri (Bayelsa). Ayo Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, and Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, were also included.

After defeating the incumbent and leading opponent, Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, Adeleke of the PDP won the governorship election in Osun State on July 16. (APC).
